It has been another 100 degree day today. \u00a0I really feel like this stupid heat has put a curve ball into all the plans I wanted to do with you boys before our Summer came to an end.\u00a0 We are somehow still finding our way though.<\/p>\n

Today, to beat the heat, we chose to go to the movies.\u00a0 Your brother Jack wanted to see “The Odd Life Of Timothy Green.”\u00a0 I thought maybe it might be a little old for you, but you wanted to see it, too.\u00a0\u00a0You ended up really enjoying it, and\u00a0even though it was not the best movie, I found myself tearing up quite a bit.\u00a0 It is mostly about being different and an underdog, but there is a\u00a0strong tone of the unconditional love that a parent has for their child.\u00a0\u00a0Completely hit home for me and reminded me about something your Dad and I did they day we found out you were going to be\u00a0a boy.<\/p>\n

Most people believe when you try for another baby you are trying to have one of each gender.\u00a0 That was not the case for your Dad and I. \u00a0I just wanted another baby and I was lucky enough to get another boy! \u00a0Immediately, we went to the mall and I bought you a cute outfit, and then your Dad and I went to see the new Superman movie.<\/p>\n

Now, it is no secret that I am not a crier, but I am pretty sappy and when Jor-El sent Superman off and said the below quote I got chills and the tears flowed.<\/p>\n

“The richness of our lives shall be yours. All that I have, all that I’ve learned, everything I feel… all this, and more, I… I bequeath you, my son. You will carry me inside you, all the days of your life. You will make my strength your own, and see my life through your eyes, as your life will be seen through mine. The son becomes the father, and the father the son.”<\/p>\n

I was beyond excited to know I had another little man to raise brewing in my stomach….\u00a0I know your Dad felt the same way.\u00a0 I will just go ahead an apologize\u00a0to you now that\u00a0you have parents that are dorks.<\/p>\n
