So here we are. That was a fast 30 days. We did not do much today, in fact you and your brothers played in your jammies until 2 in the afternoon.\u00a0 For dinner you and your brother got to choose the location, The Rainforest Cafe.\u00a0Off we went with your Gramma and brothers for a wild dinner (Daddy was out of town until late this evening). \u00a0 You and Jack had the best time, you guys love to wander and look at all the fish and animals.\u00a0 Baby brother was pretty freaked out and I spent most of my dinner reassuring him that a giant mechanical Gorilla would not eat him.\u00a0 Gramma polished\u00a0 off the\u00a0evening by buying you guys some cookies that\u00a0were quickly devoured.<\/p>\n

When we arrived home I had a gift for all three of you boys.\u00a0 A book each that was fitting to the stage you each are in….You got two though.<\/p>\n

The first one was Curious George Goes To School.\u00a0 If I could personally thank H. A. and Margret Rey I would.<\/em>\u00a0 Their books and the cartoon based on their books are what helped us get you\u00a0through your second and most challenging year of life.\u00a0 You were sick a lot and super sensitive. At times that you were almost inconsolable, \u00a0we learned that if we\u00a0turned that show on or read you one of the books you were instantly calmed.\u00a0 Your second Birthday was even themed to Curious George.\u00a0\u00a0 We still love to watch it together.<\/p>\n

The second book was to comfort you.\u00a0 Lately, you have been worried\u00a0sometimes asking me if I would ever leave you and go live somewhere else. \u00a0I know in your heart you don’t really think\u00a0I would, and I know you just want to hear the words “I would never leave” to comfort you little mind.\u00a0 I am sure these worries have something to do with school starting as well.\u00a0 So I thought this book was perfect.\u00a0 Nancy Tillman’s Wherever You Are -My Love Will Find You.<\/p>\n

I put you and your brother to bed tonight and I read your new books.\u00a0 When I got to this part I could barely read it out loud<\/p>\n

“And if someday you\u2019re lonely, or someday you\u2019re sad, or you strike out at baseball, or think you’ve been bad…
\njust lift up your face, feel the wind in your hair. That\u2019s me, my sweet baby, my love is right there.”<\/p>\n

When we were done with the books we talked some and then some more, and then some…sleep was not coming easy. \u00a0I finally had to give the final “OK..no more talking!”\u00a0 to which you said “Um Mommy,\u00a0just one more thing, I love you more then anything.” then you went to sleep.\u00a0 That totally sounds made up, but it is totally not.<\/p>\n

To our next chapter my sweet L, off we go….<\/p>\n
